Beginner Sewing 101 Got More
Creativity than Cash?
Then learning to sew might
just be the ticket to express that creativity, and get a
new skirt, to boot! Class participants learn how their
machines form a stitch, to choose the proper pattern
size, to prepare their pattern and fabric, then cut and
sew their skirt. You'll be taught about fabric grain,
pattern symbols and what they mean, and learn good sewing
habits that will save you time. Additionally, you'll
learn how to equip your sewing box with the tools you'll
need, along with tips for creating a good looking
garment. 
Beginner
Sewing 102 You've Learned to Sew . . . Now, what's
next? How about a great fitting pair of slacks? By
the end of the first session, you'll have learned to take
correct measurements, choose the proper pattern size and
how to prepare the pattern. Afterward, you'll select and
purchase the fabric and the notions you'll use to
construct your slacks during the next t wo sessions.
At the close of this class, you'll have a great
fitting pair of slacks and a pattern you can use to make
more on your own!

Intermediate
Sewing Techniques Love the look of designer
ready-to-wear but hate the price? Master the techniques
used in high-end ready-to-wear.....Learn industry
shortcuts and other tips that create a quality garment. During
this intensive 5-hour class, participants learn the steps
to perform some of the more difficult sewing tasks that
lend a quality touch to their garments. ONLY for the
serious sewer, you'll create, step-by-step, shaped darts,
seam finishes, hem techniques, lapped, centered or slot,
trouser, invisible and hand-picked zippers, bound
buttonholes, patch pockets, pucker-free in-seam pockets
and welt pockets with and without flaps. Take home your
step-by-step samples for future reference.

Frustrated
with Fit? Identify your fitting issues.....Then create
your own personalized fit pattern. Use your new
skill to alter a bodice and skirt sloper for a perfect
fit....every time! ONLY for the serious sewer, class
participants learn to take accurate measurements,
identify what causes ill-fitting garments and the methods
to perform alterations to a paper pattern and achieve a
perfect fit. Students will take home a fitting shell that
can be used to make alterations to other patterns.
