Our family tree can be traced back to Job Bowers, who was born in Virginia in 1755. His ancestors were from Wales, but little else is known of his predecessors.
During his service in the American Revolutionary War, Job's son William Bowers was born on October 4, 1779. Job returned home in time to see his new born son William, but Job Bowers was killed later that night by the Tories.
His son, William Bowers, married Polly Cox (born June 26, 1786), and they had thirteen children. The names of their thirteen children and spouse(s) are:
